Why this company only does drains and sewer lines
It is a deliberately short list, and the reason is the work.
The plan
A narrow trade, done properly
Most people who will clear your drain in Whatcom County do it as one item on a long list. Water heaters, fixture swaps, repipes, remodels, new construction, and drains when there is a gap. There is nothing wrong with that. General plumbing is a real trade and a good general plumber is worth knowing.
But it does have consequences for the drain call. The van is loaded for whatever was scheduled. The camera is at the shop, or in another van, or does not exist. The jetter is a machine that gets hired in when somebody remembers it. And your blocked main line is competing for the afternoon with a bathroom that is already three days behind.
This company exists to do the other thing. Clearing, jetting, camera inspection and line repair, and nothing above the fixture. The equipment is on the van because there is nothing else it would be carrying. The person who arrives has spent the week doing this specific work rather than one job in five.
The narrowness is the product. It is not a limitation we are apologising for.
How we work
How we work, and why
Look before you quote
Everything underground is a guess until somebody puts a camera in it. That is how a homeowner ends up paying for a full replacement they did not need. We film the line, we hand over the recording, and you are welcome to take it to somebody else for a second opinion. A company that will not give you the footage is telling you something.
Clear it, do not bypass it
A cable through a hardened grease layer makes a channel and leaves the problem. It works today and it is a way of selling the same visit three times. We would rather remove the cause and explain what put it there.
Say the boring answer out loud
Sometimes the pipe is fine and something needs to stop going down it. Sometimes an old clay line with sound joints has years left. Those are less profitable sentences than the alternative and they are usually the true ones.
Know the ground you are working on
Clay and cast iron under the pre war Bellingham streets. Orangeburg through a lot of the post war stock. Shallow pipe and a high water table out at Birch Bay and Sumas. Long flat runs with almost no fall around Lynden. Silt still sitting in lines that flooded in 2021. Local knowledge is not marketing here, it changes the diagnosis.
