These terms apply when you use this website and when you request or receive drain and sewer services from Whatcom Drain Cleaning Pros. By using the site or booking work, you agree to them.

What we do and what we do not do

We provide drain and sewer line services: drain cleaning, hydro jetting, sewer camera inspection, main line clearing, fixture drain clearing, kitchen and grease line cleaning, sewer line repair and emergency drain service, within Whatcom County, Washington.

We do not install or repair water heaters, install or replace fixtures and faucets, carry out repiping, perform bathroom or kitchen remodelling, or provide new construction plumbing. We do not pump septic tanks, inspect septic tanks or work on drain fields. Where a job crosses into any of that work, we will say so and you will need another trade for that part.

Using this website

The content on this website is provided for general information about our services. It is not technical, legal or professional advice about your specific property, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for having your drains inspected.

You may not use this website in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation, or that attempts to gain unauthorised access to any part of it or to any system connected to it.

All content on this website, including text, images, layout and design, is owned by us or used with permission, and may not be copied or reproduced without our written consent.

Enquiries, estimates and pricing

Submitting a form or calling us creates an enquiry, not a contract. Work is scheduled when we agree it with you directly.

Any price we give before seeing the job is an estimate based on what you have described. Drain and sewer work regularly reveals conditions that could not be known in advance, including the position and condition of buried pipe, the absence of an accessible cleanout, the material the line is made of, and defects that only become visible once a camera can pass. Where the work required differs from what was described, we will tell you before continuing and agree the change with you.

We give you a price before work starts. We do not change it afterwards without your agreement.

Access, site conditions and property

You are responsible for providing safe access to the property and to the drainage system, and for telling us anything you know that is relevant, including previous work, the location of a cleanout, private utilities, irrigation, and any chemical drain cleaner that has been used.

Drain and sewer work sometimes requires excavation or the removal and refitting of fixtures. Where that is necessary we will tell you before we do it. Restoration of ground surfaces, landscaping and hard surfaces is only included where it is specifically stated in the agreed scope.

We are not responsible for damage arising from pre existing defects in the drainage system, from undisclosed conditions, or from the failure of pipe that had already lost structural integrity before we attended.

Emergency work

Where you contact us about an active backup, we prioritise the call ahead of scheduled work. We do not guarantee a specific arrival time, and travel times vary considerably across Whatcom County, particularly to Point Roberts.

Where we advise you to stop using water in the building, that advice is given to limit damage and it is your responsibility to act on it.

Payment

Payment is due on the terms stated on your invoice. Where a job requires materials, excavation or scheduled return visits, we may agree a deposit or staged payments in advance.

Warranty

Where we give a warranty on work performed, its terms will be stated in writing with the job. A warranty on clearing a line does not cover a subsequent blockage caused by a defect in the pipe that we identified and reported, or by material put into the drain after we attended.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Washington law, our liability arising out of any work or out of your use of this website is limited to the amount you paid for the work in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Text messages

If you consent to receive text messages from us, the terms of that consent, including how to opt out, are set out in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Whatcom County, Washington.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published here with the date it was last updated at the top.
